On day 3 we head to the Waterford Crystal Factory.
In the cafeteria is the first food that Doug liked in Ireland: a croissant. Up to this point
he was dreading
having to eat because of a spectacularly bad string of restaurant choices. From a
stomach-unsettling salmon sandwich in Dublin and just plain bad fish and chips on the way to
Glendalough and overcooked meat and undercooked
chips everywhere else, it made him think of how much weight he could lose just by living on
petrol station Doritos (chili flavor) and flat Coke.
The first pair of batteries in our camera made it surprisingly long and they died after
this shot was taken (yep, that's hot stuff that guy's holding). We didn't have any more
and Adrienne wouldn't think anyone would take our
word that we actually went to the factory so we held up the tour to have them take a
souvenior picture.
